Hall-of-Famer Martina Hingis and the defending champion Washington Kastles will host Western Conference champions the Austin Aces in the Mylan World TeamTennis Finals on Sunday morning at 11:30 a.m. in Kastles Stadium. Washington will be playing for a record-setting fifth straight WTT title and sixth overall.

The match will begin airing at 11:30 am ET on ESPN3 before moving to ESPN2 at 1:00 pm ET.

*NOTE* WTT Co-founder Billie Jean King will be available for phone interviews today, Friday, July 31 and potential in-person interviews tomorrow, Saturday, August 1 leading up to Sunday’s WTT Finals here in Washington, D.C.

The Washington Kastles secured their spot as the Eastern Conference champions for the fifth year in a row with a commanding 25-9 victory over the Philadelphia Freedoms last night. The Aces defeated the California Dream last night to earn their first-ever finals berth. The Aces won two of the three regular season meetings between the teams.

With a win on Sunday in front of a home crowd, the Kastles, led by three-time WTT Coach of the Year Murphy Jensen, will become the first team in the league’s 40-year history to win five consecutive King Trophies.

Doors to the Mylan WTT Finals will open this Sunday morning at 9:45 a.m. for the 11:30 a.m. match. The media entrance is located at the bottom of the stairs on the corner of 22nd and G Streets NW. Media personal parking is available in the garage located at 2201 H. St. NW (entrance on the south side of H St. between 22nd and 23rd Streets NW). There will be signage outside the garage, and a dedicated parking attendant will be on site to grant media access.
